The Shooting Stars 4-Season Skating Rink

Immerse yourself in a Montreal tradition with our 4-season skating rink, a space created to celebrate the city’s love of ice skating and outdoor activities all year round. Designed to bring people together, it’s perfect for family fun, romantic outings, or even team-building with colleagues. Whether skating under the summer sun or a crisp winter sky, this rink offers a unique way to connect with the city’s history, its vibrant community, and each other.

Skating at the Shooting Stars rink

As a guest of the hotel, enjoy free access to the skating rink.

Skates and helmet: bring your own, or rent at the front desk (10$ per person, subject to availability)

Opening hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 9am to 8pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 9am to 9pm

For security and everyone's enjoyment, the rink can hold up to 20 persons at a time.

Helmet use is mandatory. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Shooting Stars rink is open year-round, but is still subject to nature's whims. The skating rink will be closed during adverse weather conditions such as rain and freezing rain.

Sustainability

Our 4-season skating rink is more than a place to skate—it’s a reflection of our dedication to creating joyful experiences while caring for the environment and our community. The rink’s surface, made from synthetic material, eliminates the need for refrigerants, water, energy, or heavy equipment for maintenance, significantly reducing its environmental footprint. This material is fully recyclable, with the manufacturer integrating post-industrial plastics back into their production process.

We’ve also taken steps to offset the transportation emissions associated with bringing the rink to our site. The space is illuminated with energy-efficient LED lights, and we’re committed to compensating for the energy used during operation.

Beyond sustainability, this rink is a space for connection. We’re proud to collaborate with community leaders to provide free access for local children, ensuring everyone can enjoy the magic of skating, no matter the season.
